Years of experience: 1+ Years
Project Site Location: Ras Laffan
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as Firewatch/ Holewatch/ Safety watch or similar position
- Prior experience in Oil, Gas & Petrochemicals plants
- Good co-ordination and presentation skills
- Knowledge of international safety codes and standards
Job Responsibilities:
- Continuously monitor areas where hot work is being performed to detect and respond to fires or other safety hazards
- Maintain a clear line of sight to the work area and remain alert at all times
- Conduct regular inspections of the work area and surrounding spaces to ensure fire safety
- Ensure that all flammable and combustible materials are removed or protected from the work area.
- Identify and assess potential fire hazards before and during hot work operations.
- Verify firefighting equipment are accessible and in good working condition
- Take immediate action to extinguish small fires using firefighting equipment.
- Raise the alarm and initiate emergency procedures in the event of a significant fire or other emergency
- Assist in the evacuation of personnel from the work area if necessary.
- Report any safety concerns, incidents, or near-misses to HSE Supervisor/ Officer
