Job duties and responsibilities
- Liaising with architects and engineers to gather product and structural requirements and designs required by the company.
- Capable of following specifications and calculations to create various technical and specialized drawings.
- Preparing both rough sketches and detailed with computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Communicating with architects and engineers, and incorporating knowledge gained drawings.
- Preparing, reviewing, and redrafting rough sketches alongside the engineering team while ensuring that the final designs are compliant with the building regulations.
- Identifying and communicating potential design problems to the rest of the team.
- Capable of identifying potential operational issues and redesigning products to improve functionality.
- Ensuring that final designs comply with regulations and quality standards of the company.
- Competent in creating manuals that describe existing products’ operation, features and maintenance.
Job qualifications/requirements
- 2 – 2 ½ years of experience working as a civil draftsman in any GCC country.
- Diploma or professional qualification in civil draftsman or civil engineering.
- Hands-on experience using computer-aided design (AutoCAD) software.
- Ability to meet deadlines and attention to detail.
