Job Description:-
The SCM Executive is responsible for managing the end-to-end supply chain process, ensuring the seamless flow of materials, goods, and information from suppliers to customers. This role involves coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders to optimize supply chain performance, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency while maintaining high service standards.
Key Responsibilities:-
1. Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock is maintained to meet production and sales demands.
- Conduct regular stock audits and ensure the accuracy of inventory records.
- Implement strategies for inventory optimization to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
2. Procurement & Vendor Management:
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for optimal pricing, quality, and delivery schedules.
- Maintain relationships with key vendors and suppliers, ensuring timely and efficient procurement of materials.
- Manage purchase orders, contracts, and supplier performance reviews.
3. Logistics Coordination:
- Plan and coordinate the movement of goods, ensuring timely delivery to customers and production sites.
- Oversee transportation providers and third-party logistics (3PL) partners, managing freight rates and transportation costs.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping and export regulations, including documentation.
4. Demand Planning & Forecasting:
- Collaborate with sales, production, and other teams to develop accurate demand forecasts.
- Align supply chain operations with demand forecasts to ensure on-time delivery of products.
- Identify trends and adjust supply chain strategies accordingly to prevent overstocking or stock shortages.
5. Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for improving supply chain processes and reducing costs.
- Implement best practices in supply chain operations to drive efficiency and productivity.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on supply chain performance regularly.
6. Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
- Monitor and mitigate risks in the supply chain, such as supplier disruptions or material shortages.
- Implement sustainability initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of the supply chain.
7. Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal departments such as production, quality control, finance, and sales to align supply chain activities with business objectives.
- Support new product launches by ensuring timely procurement of materials and managing logistics.
