Job Purpose:
We are looking for a Commis Chef specialized in baking to join our team immediately. The ideal candidate will be passionate about baking, able to follow instructions from senior chefs, and assist in preparing a variety of baked goods. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively in English, and Pinoy nationals currently in Oman are preferred.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and baking of breads, pastries, cakes, and other bakery items.
- Follow recipes and instructions accurately to ensure consistency in quality and presentation.
- Help maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety standards.
- Ensure the availability and freshness of all ingredients required for baking.
- Assist with inventory control, stock rotation, and maintaining kitchen equipment.
- Support senior chefs and work as part of a team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Adhere to food hygiene and safety guidelines at all times.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience as a Commis Chef with a specialization in baking is essential.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Knowledge of basic baking techniques and a willingness to learn and develop further skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and follow directions accurately.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Pinoy nationals currently residing in Oman are highly preferred.
- Experience working in a commercial kitchen or bakery.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to start immediately.
- Flexibility with working hours, including weekends and holidays if required.
