Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Head Chef who is locally available in Qatar and can join our team immediately. The Head Chef will lead our culinary team in creating exceptional dining experiences, with responsibilities including menu creation, food costing, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Menu Development:
- Design innovative and seasonal menus that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences.
- Collaborate with the team to create daily specials and promotional dishes.
- Costing and Budget Management:
- Analyze food costs and develop pricing strategies to ensure profitability.
- Maintain accurate inventory and oversee procurement of ingredients to minimize waste.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and train kitchen staff to foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Schedule and manage kitchen staff, ensuring adequate coverage during peak times.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of taste, presentation, and hygiene.
- Monitor food safety and sanitation practices to comply with health regulations.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Streamline kitchen operations to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
- Implement systems for inventory management, waste reduction, and kitchen organization.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.
- Engage with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients and negotiate favorable terms.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the culinary field.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of food costing, budgeting, and financial management.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Passion for culinary excellence and commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Must be locally available in Qatar.
Working Conditions:
- Fast-paced kitchen environment.
- May require long hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Must be able to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods.
