Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) in Qatar is seeking applicants for an adjunct professor position to teach an IS consulting course in Information Systems in Spring 2025. The primary responsibility for this position is to teach two sections of an undergraduate IS course in Spring 2025. We may also consider two adjunct positions to teach one section each of the course. The IS program at Carnegie Mellon is world-renowned for its contributions to practice and teaching. The Information Systems Program at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar offers an undergraduate major which aims to educate students to meet the increasing demand for Information Systems talent in Qatar, the Gulf region, and globally. The position is based at our branch campus in Doha, Qatar (CMUQ) and offers competitive pay.
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. or a master’s degree in information systems/computer science/business or a closely related field to be considered for this appointment.
We are specifically looking for candidates with a solid background in Information Systems Consulting/Project Management. Additional skills in topics related to Information Systems in our core information systems courses and concentrations are also desirable.
This temporary part-time position offers a one-semester opportunity to contribute to the university’s teaching, research, and scholarly missions at the Qatar campus. There is no expectation of extension for this position.
