Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Tour Guide to lead educational and engaging tours at our organic farm. The ideal candidate will have experience in organic agriculture, a love for nature, and the ability to share that passion with visitors of all ages. Preference will be given to candidates who have their own visa.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct guided tours of the organic farm, explaining sustainable farming practices and the importance of organic agriculture.
- Educate visitors about the various crops grown on the farm, including their growing cycles and health benefits.
- Provide hands-on experiences, such as crop harvesting or planting demonstrations, to enhance visitor engagement.
- Answer questions and foster discussions about organic farming, sustainability, and environmental stewardship.
- Assist in the development of tour materials and presentations that highlight the farm’s practices and philosophy.
- Promote the farm’s products, events, and workshops during tours and through social media.
- Ensure visitor safety and comfort during tours, adhering to all safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Experience in organic farming or sustainable agriculture.
- Strong public speaking and communication skills.
- Passion for educating others about organic practices and environmental issues.
- Ability to engage diverse audiences, including children, adults, and families.
- Comfortable working outdoors and in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience as a tour guide or in customer service roles.
- Knowledge of local ecosystems and wildlife.
