The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating exquisite pastries, desserts, and baked goods, and will be responsible for managing the pastry section of our kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, and breads according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Develop new dessert recipes and seasonal menus that reflect current trends and customer preferences.
- Ensure high-quality standards in the preparation and presentation of all pastries and desserts.
- Maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed to ensure timely preparation.
- Monitor kitchen operations to maintain cleanliness and organization.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service and quality control.
- Participate in tastings and events to showcase pastries and desserts.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role in a high-volume kitchen.
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, and dessert presentation.
- Creativity and a passion for pastry arts.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as required.
