Full job description

The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating exquisite pastries, desserts, and baked goods, and will be responsible for managing the pastry section of our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, and breads according to established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Develop new dessert recipes and seasonal menus that reflect current trends and customer preferences.
  • Ensure high-quality standards in the preparation and presentation of all pastries and desserts.
  • Maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed to ensure timely preparation.
  • Monitor kitchen operations to maintain cleanliness and organization.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service and quality control.
  • Participate in tastings and events to showcase pastries and desserts.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role in a high-volume kitchen.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, and dessert presentation.
  • Creativity and a passion for pastry arts.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as required.
