Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated IT Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation and maintenance of IT systems, networks, and hardware essential to healthcare services. This position plays a crucial role in supporting medical staff and enhancing patient care by providing reliable technology solutions within a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Support: Provide daily technical support for hardware, software, and network issues within the healthcare facility, ensuring all IT systems function smoothly.
- System Maintenance: Maintain and troubleshoot IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, printers, and medical devices integrated with IT systems.
- Healthcare Applications: Assist with the setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of healthcare-specific applications such as electronic health records (EHR), patient management systems, and telemedicine platforms.
- Network Security: Ensure the protection of sensitive healthcare data by managing firewalls, antivirus software, and security protocols.
- Compliance: Work in accordance with healthcare IT regulations and standards (e.g., HIPAA, UAE health data regulations) to maintain data privacy and integrity.
- User Training: Provide training to healthcare staff on the proper use of IT systems, medical software, and hardware devices.
- Incident Management: Quickly identify, troubleshoot, and resolve IT issues while documenting problems and solutions for future reference.
- Collaboration: Work closely with IT and healthcare teams to develop and implement technology upgrades and improvements in a healthcare setting.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience as an IT Technician, preferably in the healthcare industry or a similar regulated environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in networking (LAN/WAN), server administration, and virtualization technologies.
- Familiarity with healthcare-specific software (EHR, PACS, HIS) and medical devices integration.
- Strong understanding of data security and compliance, including healthcare regulations.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365, Windows Server, and cloud-based solutions.
- Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent certifications are a plus.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot complex IT issues and provide quick, effective solutions in high-pressure situations.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- UAE Requirements: Must be eligible to work in the UAE.
