Job Description

 A well-known medical facility in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is currently looking for an Adult Intensivist who will serve as a vital member of our Specialty Medicine Department, delivering exceptional clinical care and consultative services to critically ill patients with medical and/or surgical disorders. Reporting directly to the Division of Specialty Medicine Chief, the successful candidate will fulfill additional duties as required to meet organizational needs. In this role, you will have the following responsibilities:

 

  1. Provide person-centered care and consultations to both inpatients and outpatients within the area of expertise.
  2. Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures adhering to the highest standards of care and within approved privileges.
  3. Complete all medical documentation and reports promptly and professionally.
  4. Foster collegial relationships and collaborate with physicians, nurses, allied health providers, and administrators across departments and districts.
  5. Share on-call responsibilities as needed and respond to emergency requests for assistance from all facilities.
  6. Actively participate in various staff, clinical, educational, and research meetings.
  7. Contribute to educational activities by attending Grand Rounds, Journal Clubs, and facilitating professional development.
  8. Participate in interdisciplinary, interdepartmental, and quality improvement activities including committee service.
  9. Respond promptly to COMPANY queries regarding medical documentation, coding, patient concerns, or risk management.


Requirements

To be considered for this role, you need to meet the following criteria:

 

  • Graduation from an approved medical school.
  • Completion of a one-year internship in a recognized training program.
  • Residency certified training in Internal Medicine, Anesthesia, or Emergency in a recognized training program.
  • Fellowship training in critical care medicine from a recognized program.
  • Three (3) years of practice in critical care with demonstrated expertise.
  • In the UK system, at least two years of registrar jobs in critical medicine post-qualification in Internal Medicine or Anesthesia and at least one year of registrar job in the intensive care unit.
  • Valid license to practice medicine.
  • American/Canadian Board or equivalent certification.
