Job Description:
As a SolidWorks Designer for Joinery Furniture, you will be responsible for creating detailed 3D models and technical drawings of custom furniture and joinery pieces. You will collaborate with our production team to ensure designs are practical, manufacturable, and meet our high standards of quality. This role requires a keen eye for detail, knowledge of materials, and a strong understanding of woodworking and joinery techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Develop accurate 3D models and technical drawings for custom joinery furniture using SolidWorks.
- Collaborate with the design and production teams to ensure designs align with project specifications and manufacturing capabilities.
- Prepare and review detailed parts lists, assembly drawings, and material requirements.
- Optimize designs for efficiency in production while maintaining quality and craftsmanship.
- Maintain an organized library of designs and standard components for future reference.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a SolidWorks Designer in the furniture or joinery industry.
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks with experience in creating complex 3D models and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of materials, woodworking techniques, and joinery processes.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in furniture design, architecture, or industrial design.
- Familiarity with other design software like AutoCAD or SketchUp.
- Hands-on experience in woodworking or carpentry is a plus.
