Job Description
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and test new fire alarm systems as per manufacturer guidelines and regulatory standards.
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on fire alarm systems, including smoke detectors, control panels, fire sprinklers, and alarm wiring.
- Calibrate, adjust and replace alarm components to ensure optimal system functionality and reliability.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot alarm system malfunctions efficiently, identifying and replacing faulty wiring, batteries, or system components.
- Conduct comprehensive system tests to ensure alarms respond correctly to emergencies.
- Prepare detailed reports on system performance, maintenance activities, and necessary repairs.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all service and repair activities, inspection outcomes, and compliance information.
- Ensure all fire alarm systems meet local fire codes and safety regulations.
- Complete documentation for client records, including compliance reports and certifications as needed.
- Interact professionally with clients, clearly explaining system functionalities and necessary maintenance procedures.
- Handle client inquiries, troubleshoot minor issues remotely if possible, and respond to emergency repair requests promptly.
- Drive company vehicles safely, transporting equipment, tools, and materials to and from client sites.
- Ensure adherence to all workplace safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) use during installations and repairs.
- Respond to emergency service requests as required, including after-hours or weekend support when necessary.
Job Qualifications/Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; specialized training or certification in fire alarm or electrical systems is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience in fire alarm system installation, maintenance, or a related field.
- Valid driver’s license (any GCC approved) with a clean driving record and willingness to drive long distances if required.
- In-depth knowledge of fire alarm components, including smoke detectors, heat detectors, control panels, and wiring.
