Develop, implement, and monitor the quality control plan for substation construction projects.
Preparation of method statement and ITP.
Ensure that construction processes and procedures comply with the project specifications, standards, and regulations.
Conduct quality inspections at various stages of construction (, electrical installations, grounding, etc.).
Verify that materials, equipment, and systems meet specified standards and customer requirements.
Inspect and approve incoming materials and components to ensure they meet the required specifications.
Perform or supervise inspections, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems, switchgear, transformers, control systems, and other substation components.
Coordinate third-party testing and inspections, including Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and results, and prepare quality reports and documentation.
Prepare Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure corrective actions are taken for any deviations or quality issues.
Review and approve quality-related documentation such as method statements, ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans), and material submittals.
Ensure compliance with relevant national and international standards (ISO 9001, IEC, OSHA, etc.).
Monitor adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols during construction.
Participate in HSE audits and inspections as needed.
Collaborate with construction teams, project managers, and contractors to ensure timely execution of quality activities.
Communicate with clients, consultants, and external inspectors on quality-related issues.
Provide technical guidance and support to site personnel regarding quality control requirements.
