Our Architectural & Engineering Consultancy requires a Structural Draftsman to join our dynamic team and contribute to our diverse range of projects.
Job Summary:
The Structural Draftsman will be responsible for producing detailed architectural and structural drawings. This role combines both architectural design and structural engineering principles, requiring proficiency in drafting software and a collaborative approach to project development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed structural drawings and layouts for commercial, residential, and industrial projects.
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure designs meet project requirements and specifications.
- Review sketches, plans, and data to produce structural models and drawings.
- Use CAD software to create accurate 2D and 3D representations of structural elements.
- Update and revise drawings as needed based on feedback from project engineers and architects.
- Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of drawings and revisions for project documentation.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in drafting, engineering technology, or a related field; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience as a structural draftsman or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
- Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and building codes.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
