Job Description
The HSE Officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations and fostering a safe work environment. This role involves conducting risk assessments, training employees, investigating incidents, and implementing effective HSE practices to maintain regulatory compliance and reduce incidents in the workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and update HSE policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and industry-specific health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Identify potential hazards, evaluate risks, and implement mitigation measures.
- Monitor and improve safety measures and systems.
- Organize drills and emergency response exercises to prepare for unexpected situations.
- Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near-misses.
- Prepare reports on findings, root cause analyses, and corrective actions.
- Maintain records and documentation as per regulatory standards and company policies.
- Oversee environmental management practices, including waste disposal, pollution control, and energy conservation.
- Manage incident responses related to environmental impact.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in an HSE role.
- Ability to identify risks and implement preventive measures effectively.
