Job Description

A great opportunity has come up. Our client is looking for a Sourcing and Procurement Specialist who will support sourcing activities and the full tender process to ensure optimal supplier selection and cost efficiency. This role emphasizes building strategic partnerships, cost optimization, and establishing framework agreements within the UAE market. You will be responsible for facilitating sourcing processes, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring that procurement activities align with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.

  1. Execute sourcing strategies and procurement activities across various categories of goods and services.
  2. Prepare and issue tender documents, coordinating with relevant departments for effective communication.
  3. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, analyzing trends and pricing to support cost-effective procurement.
  4. Process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders after tender evaluations.
  5. Assist in the evaluation process for supplier selection based on technical and commercial considerations.
  6. Support supplier selection through detailed analysis of supplier information and market data.
  7. Maintain active communication with suppliers to resolve order fulfillment, quality, and delivery concerns.
  8. Ensure a smooth tendering process and coordinate pre-contract services to meet standards.
  9. Track order statuses and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
  10. Resolve any discrepancies, such as invoice mismatches or delivery delays.
  11. Support the monitoring of the annual procurement plan to ensure strategic sourcing alignment.
  12. Comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements in all sourcing activities.
  13. Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement and supplier relations.
  14. Collaborate with other departments to align procurement needs with organizational strategies.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
  • Skills: Proficient in procurement and supply chain management software.
  • Industry Knowledge: Prior experience in engineering, industrial, power, or oil & gas sectors is a must.
