Job Posting: Starch Man in Paper Manufacturing
Location: Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai
Email to Apply: Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Starch Man to join our paper manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of relevant experience in paper manufacturing and a strong understanding of starch preparation processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cook the starch according to the specified size press recipe.
- Record total consumption of size press chemicals per shift.
- Maintain sufficient cooked starch levels to prevent shortages for the size press.
- Inform the shift leader, machine tender, or back tender to arrange for the supply of size press chemicals near the starch cooker.
- Utilize all necessary safety equipment when handling size press chemicals.
- Report any accidents occurring during the handling or usage of size press chemicals to the shift leader or relevant personnel.
- Notify the shift leader, machine tender, or back tender if any equipment related to starch preparation and delivery becomes inoperable.
- Communicate with the QC lab regarding starch quality and requirements.
- Add and prepare starch cooking utility chemicals as needed.
- Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained in the starch cooking area.
- Comply fully with the company’s safety regulations during all starch cooking activities.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in paper manufacturing.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team.
