· Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to understand project requirements and specifications for materials.
· Research and evaluate materials based on performance, durability, cost, and environmental impact, and recommend suitable options for specific project needs.
· Prepare material specifications, including technical data, performance criteria, and quality standards, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry regulations.
· Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain technical data sheets, product samples, and pricing information for specified materials.
· Review and approve material submittals and samples submitted by suppliers, ensuring compliance with specified requirements and quality standards.
· Coordinate with procurement team to ensure timely procurement and delivery of specified materials to project sites, and monitor material availability and lead times.
· Provide technical support to project teams and address any material-related issues or concerns during the construction phase.
· Maintain organized records of material specifications, approvals, and documentation for reference and audit purposes.
· Study the project tender documents including boq, drawings, specifications and prepare material log.
