We are seeking a proactive Sourcing Executive to join our team in the procurement of IT hardware and equipment. This critical role ensures local availability by utilizing established supplier channels in Dubai and the surrounding region. The ideal candidate will have sourcing and vendor management experience, along with a strong local supplier network for timely, cost-effective access to required items. They should possess technical knowledge to provide optimal solutions based on client needs and recommend strategies to maximize revenue while remaining informed about market trends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Local Supplier Management: Identify and establish strong relationships with local suppliers and distributors to ensure rapid and reliable access to IT hardware and equipment.
- Availability Assurance: Continuously monitor and verify stock levels with local suppliers, ensuring high-demand items are readily available to meet business needs.
- Supplier Channel Optimization: Utilize available supplier networks to diversify sourcing options, onboard new suppliers, minimize lead times, and maintain product availability for urgent requests while maximizing networking opportunities.
- Contract and Pricing Negotiation: Lead negotiations to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms, balancing cost efficiency with quality standards.
- Collaboration and Forecasting: Work closely with operations teams to anticipate product demand and align sourcing strategies with business objectives.
- Market and Trend Analysis: Stay informed of market dynamics, supplier performance, and industry trends in IT hardware, adapting strategies as needed to maintain competitive advantages.
- Risk and Quality Management: Implement checks to assure product quality and mitigate risks associated with local sourcing, including supplier reliability and supply chain disruptions.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, IT, or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of sourcing or procurement experience, with expertise in IT hardware and local supplier management.
- Strong negotiation skills, with experience in establishing local supplier networks.
- Knowledge of IT hardware categories (e.g., server systems, networking, storage solutions).
- Deep familiarity with local UAE supplier channels and sourcing practices.
