Job Description
Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in project management, with at least 2 years of experience specifically in joinery, carpentry, or related construction/fit-out sectors.
Key Responsibilities:Project Planning & Execution:
- Project Scope Definition: Work closely with clients, architects, designers, and internal teams to define the scope, objectives, and deliverables for each joinery project.
- Project Scheduling: Develop detailed project timelines and manage the schedule to ensure that milestones and deadlines are met. Adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes or delays.
- Budget Management: Prepare and manage the project budget, ensuring cost control and tracking of project expenses. Identify potential savings without compromising quality or scope.
- Procurement: Oversee procurement of materials and subcontractor services, ensuring timely delivery and quality compliance. Negotiate pricing and contracts with suppliers and vendors.
- Resource Allocation: Ensure appropriate resources (materials, labor, equipment) are available and effectively allocated to meet project requirements.
Team Leadership & Coordination:
- Team Management: Lead and manage a multidisciplinary project team, including joiners, site managers, subcontractors, and other relevant personnel. Provide guidance, direction, and support to ensure high-quality output.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as the main point of contact for clients, internal stakeholders, suppliers, and contractors. Maintain clear and consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve any challenges or obstacles that arise on-site or within the project team, ensuring minimal disruption to timelines or project quality.
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
- Quality Control: Ensure that all joinery work meets the design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress and quality.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Health & Safety: Promote a culture of safety on-site by ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations. Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions as needed.
Client & Stakeholder Management:
- Client Liaison: Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure their requirements and expectations are being met. Address any issues or changes that arise, ensuring client satisfaction.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates on project progress to clients, senior management, and other stakeholders. Prepare detailed project reports covering timeline, budget, risks, and deliverables.
Project Close-Out:
- Final Inspections: Coordinate final inspections and ensure all work is completed to the satisfaction of the client, adhering to the agreed-upon specifications and quality standards.
- Handover: Ensure smooth project handover, including documentation, warranties, and maintenance instructions, ensuring the client is fully satisfied.
- Post-Project Review: Lead post-project evaluations and debriefs to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement on future projects.
Key Requirements:
- Education: A degree or diploma in Project Management, Construction Management, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field is preferred.
