Job Description
A Diesel Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of diesel-powered vehicles and machinery. They work on diesel engines in trucks, buses, heavy construction equipment, agricultural machinery, and other diesel-powered systems to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in diesel mechanics or a related field is preferred.
- Completion of a formal apprenticeship or training program is highly desirable.
- Certifications:
- ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification in diesel mechanics or similar qualifications are an advantage.
- Other industry certifications (e.g., Cummins, Caterpillar, etc.) can be beneficial depending on the specialization.
- Experience:
- 5 years of hands-on experience working with diesel engines or heavy machinery, preferably in a maintenance or repair capacity.
- Experience with specific types of equipment (e.g., trucks, construction machinery, agricultural equipment) can be an asset.
Salary AED 4,000 - 5000 Accommodation & Transport
