Job Title: Senior Electrical Design Engineer
Location: UAE
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly experienced and innovative Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10+ years of experience in electrical design, with expertise in high-rise building projects, consultancy background, and strong knowledge of UAE regulations and standards. Preference will be given to candidates available for immediate joining.
Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical System Design:
- Develop and design comprehensive electrical systems for high-rise building projects, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, and low-current systems.
- Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, DEWA standards, and international codes such as NEC, BS, and IEC.
- Project Management and Coordination:
- Lead and manage electrical design aspects across multiple high-rise building projects.
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other MEP disciplines to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor implementation and ensure designs are executed as planned.
- Documentation and Reports:
- Prepare detailed design calculations, drawings, technical reports, and specifications.
- Oversee the preparation of BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and tender documents.
- Review and approve shop drawings and ensure as-built drawings meet project requirements.
- Team Leadership and Mentorship:
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and drafting teams.
- Conduct training sessions to enhance team expertise in electrical design and regulatory compliance.
- Quality Assurance and Problem-Solving:
- Perform technical reviews and quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy and compliance with project standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues effectively during all project stages.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, DEWA-approved engineer) are an advantage.
- Experience:
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in electrical design engineering with a focus on high-rise building projects.
- Proven consultancy background with experience working on prestigious UAE projects.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in design software such as ETAP, DIALux, AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant tools.
- Deep knowledge of UAE-specific standards and regulations (e.g., DEWA, ADDC, DM).
- Expertise in power distribution, load calculation, energy efficiency, and lighting design.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership, coordination, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to manage clients and team interactions.
- High level of attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Other Preferences:
- Immediate joiners are highly preferred.
