Role Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Architect to lead architectural design efforts and oversee project delivery within our construction company. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, manage the drafting team, liaise with clients and stakeholders, and ensure designs meet both aesthetic and functional requirements while staying within budgetary and project constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
Design Leadership & Team Management:
- Oversee the drafting team in preparing accurate and detailed architectural plans and documentation.
- Lead the conceptualization and development of creative, practical design solutions aligned with client needs and project goals.
- Conduct design reviews and provide mentorship and guidance to team members.
Project Coordination & Communication:
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate architectural designs with structural, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Communicate with clients to understand requirements, present designs, and incorporate feedback effectively.
- Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to ensure materials and construction methods align with design intent and budget constraints.
Technical & Problem-Solving Expertise:
- Develop innovative and sustainable architectural solutions that balance aesthetics, functionality, and cost efficiency.
- Monitor construction progress to ensure architectural fidelity, quality control, and compliance with local building codes and regulations.
- Address on-site challenges and provide timely solutions to maintain project schedules.
Documentation & Compliance:
- Ensure that all architectural designs and documents are accurate, complete, and meet regulatory requirements.
- Maintain detailed records of design revisions, communications, and project updates.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
- Minimum of 10 - 15 years of professional experience, including leading architectural projects in the construction industry.
- Strong proficiency in architectural software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar tools).
- In-depth knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction methods.
- Proven ability to manage teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
