Job Purpose:
The Assistant Director - Infrastructure is responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and management of infrastructure systems across Dubai Holding’s portfolio, including Nakheel, Meydan, Limitless, Dubai Land assets, and master-planned communities.
This role oversees comprehensive infrastructure services encompassing dry, wet, and transportation systems ensuring regulatory compliance, sustainable growth, and operational efficiency across all assets. liaises with key authorities such as RTA, DEWA, and Dubai Municipality to ensure alignment on infrastructure strategies, growth projections, and regulatory frameworks, particularly in compliance with Dubai Law No. 6 of 2006 on cost-sharing agreements.
Key Accountabilities - Assistant Director - Infrastructure:
Integrated Infrastructure Planning & Oversight:
Direct the planning, coordination, and management of dry, wet, and transportation infrastructure, ensuring seamless service integration across electrical, telecom, street lighting, potable water, sewerage, irrigation, district cooling, gas, and transportation systems.
Update master plans to integrate both current and future road networks and corridors, with a focus on growth corridors, population forecasting, and sustainable urban development.
Manage three infrastructure fields within the department, each led by a designated lead:
Electrical and Dry Services: Oversee capacity allocation, utility corridors, and connection points, coordinating with DEWA to plan new and utilize existing substations.
Wet Services: Guide wet infrastructure planning, from hydraulic modeling to district cooling and sewer impact assessments, coordinating with internal teams to ensure sustainable utility distribution and cost-efficient designs.
Transportation and Traffic Systems: Direct transportation strategies, including traffic impact studies, forecasting land use demand, and maintaining records of road and mobility infrastructure. Ensure transportation planning complies with Law No. 6 of 2006 on infrastructure cost-sharing and collaborate on implementing equitable cost-sharing arrangements.
