Job Description:
As a Junior Civil Draftsman, you will be responsible for creating detailed drawings and plans based on the direction of senior engineers and architects. This role requires a strong understanding of civil engineering concepts, drafting software, and the ability to assist in the development of construction documentation for a variety of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed civil engineering drawings (plans, sections, and elevations) based on sketches, calculations, and specifications provided by senior engineers.
- Assist in the preparation of construction documents, including site plans, drainage systems, road designs, and other infrastructure-related designs.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure accuracy and feasibility of drawings.
- Review and revise designs to ensure compliance with local regulations and standards.
- Maintain organized records of project designs and revisions.
- Assist with site surveys and provide support for field measurements as needed.
- Ensure drawings and models are accurate, complete, and delivered on time.
- Perform other drafting-related tasks as required by the project team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other drafting software.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction materials, and design methods.
- Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Basic understanding of site planning, grading, drainage, and road design.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to project requirements.
