A telecommunications technician installs data, cable television, high-speed Internet and phone service to both residential and commercial clients. Telecommunications technicians are often hired or contracted by independent telecommunications contractors to perform routine installations or repairs of telephone, cable TV and Internet services. They may also be required to install and troubleshoot cell phone and satellite television service.
