Recruitment Coordinator.

The position objective is to support the Office of Student Recruitment and Admissions, through targeting, recruiting, and
enrolling the strongest and most suitable undergraduate candidates for AUD. This involves data assembly and analysis,
effective relationship building, and efficient guidance and counseling capabilities. The fundamental responsibility of this
position is to help all AUD Undergraduate Programs meet their enrollment objectives and to serve all prospective students
and applicants. Moreover, oversee all marketing initiatives and liaise between the Office of Student Recruitment and
Admissions and the Office of Communications.

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Recruit students for all undergraduate programs.
  • Identify and implement ways to strengthen the perception of AUD as an institution with prospective students.
  • Follow up on leads and assist them throughout the application process to ensure timely completion and
submission of applications, and advise them regarding the most suitable Program options.
  • Initiate outbound calls to leads from messenger chat and marketing campaigns.

  • Attending to student appointments through the Get in Touch system (phone and video calls).
  • Meeting walk ins.
  • Managing interactions - assigning interactions to OSR & the Office of Student Recruitment and Admissions

  • Creating new canned responses and updating old ones in CRM.
  • Coordinating and scheduling with schools and organizers, fairs, school visits and student related engagement
events and activities locally and abroad.
  • Pulling up reports on applications, marketing campaigns, leads and statistics on specific schools.
  • Conduct presentations for schools.
  • Continuously improve the counselor support system. Liaise with school counselor to introduce new strategies
and events to increase high school students’ interest and involvement with AUD.
  • Follow up on students’ applications from the time they apply up until enrollment through a personalized
approach and clear. understanding of the needs and goals of each individual student.
  • Review admission requirements periodically to maintain standards and policies set by AUD and different
accrediting bodies.
  • Accurate Data entry on Campus for students’ records.
  • Handle all types of correspondence (e-mail, WhatsApp, phones…) related to students’ applications and
admissions.
  • Ensure that information about Admissions are updated regularly; this includes, all printed materials, website
(Admissions page) in coordination with the Office of Communications.
  • Assist in the coordination of Placement Exam dates/ Retrieve exam results and circulate to the Admissions
team in a timely manner.
  • Assess and admit to AUD’s degree programs students who possess appropriate credentials to successfully
complete the educational programs provided by the university.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or needed.
  • Develop marketing and social media ideas to promote recruitment and enrollment events and initiatives.
  • Liaise with the Office of Communication on all marketing and social media campaigns related to the Office of

Student Recruitment and Admissions.

Course Description: Lecture Class - Introduction to the theories, methods and processes of interior design. Facilitates the transition of skills and knowledge from the Art Foundation Program to specific interior design applications and focuses on analysis and evaluation of interior environments as a support and supplement to the studio experience.

Description

The Division of Science at New York University Abu Dhabi, UAE is inviting applications for a Post-Doctoral Associate position in the areas of Protein Biochemistry and Enzymology. The candidate will work under the supervision of Prof. Wael Rabeh (https://www.rabehlab.com/) on the study of enzymes’ structures and functions in the area of cancer metabolism and viral infectious diseases. Applicants must have a strong background in protein biochemistry including experience in protein expression and purification. The lab is well equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for spectroscopy, thermodynamic and kinetic characterization of proteins’ thermal and chemical unfolding, and mass-spectroscopy for studying protein dynamics.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in biochemistry or a related field of study. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview. Experience in mass spectroscopy or enzymology is desirable. Priority given to candidates with a background in the following areas of expertise:

Protein expression and purification (essential): The candidate must have prior hands-on experience in protein expression in E. coli or other cell lines and purification using affinity and size exclusion chromatography. Experience using FPLC in protein purification is a plus.

Experience in any of the following areas is a plus:

  • Enzymology: mechanistic characterization of enzymes using initial velocity and enzyme inhibition kinetics.
  • Hydrogen/deuterium exchange (HDX) mass spectrometry (MS) application in the study of enzyme dynamics and protein structural characterization.
  • Spectroscopy including UV-Vis, fluorescence and circular dichroism spectroscopy.
  • Calorimetry including differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC).

The appointment is for a one-year, renewable term, starting on August 1st, 2024. The Teaching, Learning and Development Lab (TLD) in the Division of Science, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a research assistant or research associate to work on research related to early childhood development (ECD) and the role of caregivers during the early years. The research assistant or research associate will work with the principal investigator, Dr. Antje von Suchodoletz, on a variety of projects.

The successful applicant will be well prepared to support ongoing projects in the TLD lab. Experience in ECD research and participant recruitment in the UAE and the ability to speak and read Arabic fluently are considered significant strengths, as much of the research associated with the position is conducted in the UAE and the greater Middle East region. Experience with data and data analyses as well as with scientific writing (as evidenced by co-authored publications and/or reports) are also considered a strength. The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment consisting of PhD-level scientists, researchers, administrators, graduate students and undergraduate students.

The Advanced Materials and Building Efficiency Research Laboratory (AMBER Lab) in the Division of Engineering, New York University Abu Dhabi, is offering a unique opportunity for a research scientist to work on various research projects. This is a chance to contribute to the development of resilient and sustainable construction materials and to be part of a team that values and encourages research and publication.

The successful applicant will work on four main areas leading to the success of this fascinating project: (i) to design and develop chemical and ion-exchange processes for energy and cost-efficient recovery of materials from desalination waste, (ii) to utilize the materials recovered from desalination waste as innovative building materials with abilities to self-clean, self-sense, and self-heal, (iii) to study the carbonation mechanisms in the construction materials at the nanoscale using in-situ characterization methods, and (iv) to quantify the environmental impact of recovered materials using life cycle analysis and their economic evaluation using life-cycle cost analysis. The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment consisting of PhD-level scientists and graduate and undergraduate students.

Applicants must have experience in the use of chemical and ion-exchange processes for the recovery of minerals from desalination brine and performance assessment of construction materials. Excellent experimental skills relevant to the project (in particular, synthesis of inorganic materials using chemical methods and their catalytic and sensing applications, conducting life cycle analysis, and in-situ characterization techniques) are favored. Applicants should have an undergraduate degree and a Ph.D. in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, or Engineering, with a minimum of five years of experience post-Ph.D. Candidates with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities are preferred. The responsibilities include (i) performing assigned research projects, (ii) mentoring undergraduate and graduate research assistants, (iii) leading the authorship of journal publications and project reports, and (iv) drafting future research proposals.

Support

Students will learn to identify and analyze major works of art, periods, and artists; discuss historical, religious, economic, and political factors affecting art; demonstrate how art reflects critical issues, values, ideas, and institutions of societies; recognize techniques, media, and principles of design; use and define pertinent vocabulary related to art history; compare and contrast works of art from different cultures; and communicate informed interpretations through effective writing. The courses serve as an entry point to the Art History major or minor.

Job Description

The College of Information Technology (CIT) at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) invites highly qualified individuals to apply for a faculty position at the Computer and Network Engineering Department. The CIT seeks candidates who can contribute to the growth of its undergraduate and graduate programs through excellence in teaching, research, and community service. Candidates who leverage Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and use interdisciplinary approaches to advance research in the areas of Robotics and Autonomous Systems are strongly encouraged to apply. The successful candidate must have research interests in the general area of Robotics and Autonomous Systems, with a research focus on Autonomous system design and control including navigation and mobility, perception and sensing, motion planning and control, localization and mapping, UAV and UGV applications. Qualifications include a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in computer engineering, computer science, computer systems engineering or a closely related field, a demonstrated record of research accomplishments in any of the above-mentioned topics, experience writing and securing grants, and effective and innovative teaching. Practical or industrial experience related to any of the areas above is a plus. Faculty rank is commensurate with qualifications and experience. The College has undergraduate degrees in computer engineering, computer science, information security, and information technology. Minimum Qualification

The Faculty of Applied Science and Arts enrolling 1,250 students across three design majors: Graphic, Product and Media Design. The GUC (Cairo Campus) invites highly able and motivated applicants for the following vacancy in the Graphic and Media Design Department. Successful candidates will be expected to contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will engage in teaching, research, supervision and administrative duties. She/he will establish and lead a research group in the field of Graphic and Media Design, actively promote graduate and undergraduate research, and attract third-party funded projects in any chosen areas of interest in Design. Teaching covers design, technological and methodological content for the development and implementation of products, processes and services in the field of digital media. The professor should oversee and develop the practice of interactive media-based systems in the degree programs Graphic Design und Media Design. The position includes the establishment of specific Interactive Design Labs as well the engagement in academic collaboration with partner universities.

Experience/skills:
  • Doctorate/PhD or equivalent qualification or evidence of conducted research
  • Proven teaching and practical expertise in diverse areas of Graphic and Media Design, i.e. analysis, concept development, iterative design processes, requirements of design implementation
  • Strong commitment to progressive design education principles regarding a self organized and responsible design study.
  • Understanding of the implications of design practice within social, cultural, economic, scientific or technological contexts.
  • Ability to work well with colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds, professional experience and aesthetic sensibilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and writing skills in English, which is the teaching language.
  • Good management skills, including the ability to meet deadlines, communicate and motivate effectively.
  • An interest in working collaboratively within the GUC and with external partners towards the development of shared projects.

Solid experience and a proven track record preferably in the following fields:
  • Practical background in connected user experiences and user engagement strategies; design of interactive based media systems, with an emphasis on human-centered and participatory design
  • Extensive experience in the field of Interface Design for mobile applications and responsive web-based solutions with a focus on graphic layout, typography, and the development of visual language systems
  • Knowledgeable of contemporary prototyping tools such as Adobe XD, and Figma
  • Knowledgeable of currently relevant developments and trends in the field of interactive technologies and media design as well as their impact on course content
  • Theoretical background in user centered research methods and Service Design, in particular Usability Engineering

Academic Title will be assigned to successful applicants based on the highest degree achieved, industrial experience, teaching and research experience.
