Job Description: Contract type/duration: Full-time contract Temporary position Job Summary: For Airbus Customer Services, We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Aircraft Technician (Structure/Sheet Metal Worker) to join our team within the department of AME/SBCR Aircraft Modification & Repair within the Customer Care Center in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing aircraft structure. The Aircraft Technician will work closely with other technicians, engineers, and maintenance personnel. This position requires strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of Quality & Safety. Main responsibilities: For the execution of modification embodiment or repair working party, managing complex, high value and cross-functional projects compliant with EASA/FAR Part 145 Airworthiness Regulation. Conduct upgrade embodiment activities on external customer aircraft. Perform major and complex repair projects including but not limited to incidental and fleet wide repairs. Maintain, modify and install the various components of aircraft sheet metal. Experience in Aircraft across Airbus Family, A380/A350 are a strong plus but not limited to. Repair, rework, install and fabricate the complex aircraft structural assemblies, both internal and external. Lay out plans, fabrication and installation models for modifications. Perform checks; carry out inspections and removal of components. Study technical manuals, blueprints and engineering drawings. Provide assistance to aircraft technicians and mechanics on various tasks. Remove and disassemble defective parts of the aircraft. Perform final checks on assembly and installation of parts that were replaced. Maintain and keep track of all the maintenance records. Adhere to company policies and safety programs. Maintain the supplies and perform preventive maintenance. Requirements: Familiarity with aircraft maintenance manuals, technical specifications, and relevant regulations (e.g. EASA, FAA). The successful candidate will be working in an exceptional department which is both extremely popular and successful. Despite the non-selective nature of the school in 2023 100% of GCSE Level Chemistry students gained 9-4 out of which over 72% gained 9-8. 57% of A Level Chemistry students gained A*/B out of which 40% gained A*/A.

  • A B.Ed. or degree and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent with exceptional subject knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and verify infrastructure and project requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, and feasibility, ensuring they meet established standards.
  • Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of compute infrastructure projects, including servers, virtualization, storage, and cloud computing.
  • Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders (e.g., operations, developers, and senior management) to align project goals and timelines.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with compute infrastructure projects, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Identify and analyze processes, procedures, and work practices, documenting them for standard operations along with project-specific documents required for planning, procurement, design, and implementation.
  • Manage and allocate resources (hardware, software, personnel) effectively to meet project deadlines.
  • Track and report on project performance, progress, and key deliverables, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors (e.g., Microsoft, VMware, hardware suppliers) for procurement, integration, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage post-project support and handover to operations or RTB (Run the Business) teams.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of compute environments, including servers, hypervisors (VMware, Hyper-V), cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure), and storage solutions.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in both Agile and traditional project management frameworks.
  • Manage project budgets, vendor negotiations, and cost optimization.
  • Keep all projects up to date in the EPM and Jira.
  • Maintain project status reports for management.
  • Ensure all project documentation is up to date and readily available for reference at any given time.
  • Maintain the project tracker for activities and tasks, along with execution timelines.
  • Maintain a risk tracker and document additional efforts related to projects for management reporting with accurate status updates.
  • Assist with other strategic initiatives and ITC-approved projects in the pipeline.
  • Coordinate with the IT team to work with technology vendors on projects.
  • Work with the IT team to upgrade hardware and software components as required.
  • As a project manager with a specialization in compute, manage and take responsibility for project management, tracker updates, management reports, risk register management, coordination with all stakeholders, ensuring activities are aligned per management guidelines, downtime management, change control, and task execution follow-up.
  • The above accountabilities include, but are not limited to, any additional or new tasks or responsibilities assigned by the line manager.

Artist in Residence

The Center for Genomics and Systems Biology (CGSB) at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) is announcing the opening of an Artist-in-Residence and is welcoming applications from artists to fill the third position to start on September 1, 2025 for one year.

The NYUAD CGSB was established in 2012 to develop a world-class research environment at NYUAD and in the UAE. The NYUAD-CGSB includes a diverse array of research programs oriented around two main directions, “Biomedicine and Health” and “Environmental Adaptation and Sustainability.” The CGSB encourages and promotes scientific and cultural interactions by regularly hosting events such as lectures, workshops, and Science Cafés, facilitating the exchange of ideas and knowledge between program participants and the community. The Artist in Residence program is an extension of this effort and will bring together scientists and artists to collaborate, communicate, interact, and learn, promoting the creative thinking that drives innovation. The chosen artist is expected to collaborate with scientists on one or several of the CGSB-related research programs.

The position includes funds for implementing the artist’s project, a competitive salary, a housing allowance, and other benefits.

About you

To be considered for the Marsh Early Careers program you must be a UAE national (with a family book), a final-year student or recent graduate who demonstrates: -
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Strong Academic Grades
  • Enthusiasm for developing a long-term career within the professional services industry
  • Ability to work in teams in the spirit of collaboration, engagement and inclusion
  • Fluency in English (Arabic language is an advantage)
  • Passion to develop a long-term career in the areas of risk, strategy and people
