Site Engineer

Key Accountanbilities:
Site engineer is part of the site management team and takes some of the responsibility for security, health and safety, and organising and supervising materials and people. Site engineer mark out the site, make sure designs are applied correctly and liaise with main and sub-contractors and the site manager. Site engineer perform a technical, organisational and supervisory role on construction projects. Site engineer has to execute the job as per the approved drawings, designs and schedule following the approved method statements without compromising the safety and quality with approved materials. He has to maintain good relationship with the client engineers.

Major functions of the position:
  • Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and the work of any subcontractors.
  • Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications.
  • Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials.
  • Monitoring and interpreting the design and drawings supplied by the client.
  • Liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project.
  • Planning the work and efficiently organizing the site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines.
  • Responsible for Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site.
  • Preparing reports as required.
  • Checking materials and work in progress for compliance with the specified requirements.
  • Observance of safety requirements.
  • Quality control in accordance with approved method statements, quality plans and inspection and test plans, all prepared by the project management team and by subcontractors.
  • Providing data in respect of variation orders and site instructions.
  • Preparing record drawings, technical reports, site diary.


Requirements

Qualification:
BE / DCE

Desired Professional / Exposure or Experience:
  • One Year/Two years in managing, Coordination, Supervision.
  • Good knowledge of the local construction market requirements
  • Good to have UAE Driving license
  • Strong team spirit and high sense of responsibility
  • Civil engineering background is preferred
  • Experience in the erection and installation of steel structures like trusses, purlins, rafters, platforms, chequered plates etc.

Loading & Unloading Helper

Purpose Loading and unloading trucks and keeping track of the incoming inventory.

Key Responsibility Areas

• Ensure that the driver has his manifest and flight bag if required before the driver departs

• Check cargo/ULD manually for damage and secure loading. Report any damage found.

• Check and scan/manually record the ULD bar code on devices.

• Ensure the correct cargo is loaded into the correct trailer for departure in a safe and secure manner.

• Ensure the loaded cargo is secure and all loading locks in the trailer are in place. All locks should be in the up position when loading is completed.

• Ensure all trailers leave as per the departure schedule.

• Ensure the unloading of all cargo from the arriving trailer is completed in a safe and secure manner.

• Each driver is responsible for unloading and loading his trailer. You may be required to assist.

• Report any issues with trailer power roller system.

• Update Roadworks with ULD/PMC numbers and flight details after loading cargo.

• Ensure all loading locks are lowered for unloading.

• When unloading immediately report any identified damage/s to load direct to duty Supervisor or EKSC.

• Ensure the unloading of all cargo is completed smoothly and effectively.

• Inform the operation Supervisor or Planners immediately if there are any delays in the Loading or Unloading of trailer.

• Ensure all manifests and flight bags are handed into the control room after each trip.

• All delays in both loading and unloading must be reported to the Supervisor or Planners

About the position:

As part of an upcoming USAID Project, Open-Source Supply Chain Implementation Manager will deploy and customize the OpenBoxes software to manage inventory in Anera's partner health clinics in the Gaza Strip, overseeing setup, installation, and design adjustments to meet local needs. This role will lead a Training of Trainers (ToT) program for Anera staff, empowering them to train pharmacists and facility staff on effective use of OpenBoxes for pharmaceutical management, logistics, and warehousing. Additionally, the Manager will establish a Community of Practice to provide ongoing support, share best practices, implement technical enhancements, and add a procurement module in OpenBoxes for robust supply chain management.

Key Outcomes:

In the first 90 days, the Manager will:

  • Learn and live the Americares values.
  • Complete all required new hire onboarding trainings.
  • Finalize a detailed work plan for entire project/OpenBoxes deployment, including timelines for implementation milestones, and assess the need for consultants to support customization or training.

  • System Setup and Customization: Oversee the setup, customization, and configuration of OpenBoxes to align with specific supply chain needs, ensuring smooth implementation for inventory control, stock tracking, and requisitions.
  • Training and SOP Development: Develop and deliver a supply chain-focused Training of Trainers (ToT) program for Anera staff, alongside creating and testing SOPs for essential supply chain tasks like inventory audits, stock movement tracking, and vendor management.
  • Performance Monitoring and Evaluation: Regularly evaluate OpenBoxes performance with a focus on key supply chain metrics—stock availability, order fulfillment, and inventory accuracy—to optimize clinic operations.
  • Community of Practice and Stakeholder Coordination: Establish and lead a Community of Practice to support ongoing supply chain management, collaborating with NGOs on best practices, and coordinate with stakeholders to align on supply chain goals and resource needs.

In this position you will work closely with the senior management team as the expert across all areas of compliance, AML, CTF etc., and you will be the point of contact for all interaction with the CBB. From the first day you will be entrusted with developing a strong working relationship with the regulators and the senior management, and you will support these with expert guidance on regulator/policy/procedural items. You will be relied upon to identify as resolve any issues or complaints, whilst keeping up to  date with policy and regulatory updates.

To be a success in this position you will have a strong educational background and relevant professional experience within a financial services organisation in Bahrain. You will have a strong understanding of the regulatory environment relating to digital assets and OTC products, and have the desire to work in a fast paced, start-up type environment.
