Full job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented, proactive, and strategic Category Specialist to manage and grow our gadgets, mobile phones, and accessories product portfolio. As a Category Specialist, you will be responsible for analyzing trends, managing product assortment, optimizing pricing, driving sales, and building strong relationships with vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Category Management & Strategy:

Develop and implement category strategies for gadgets, mobile phones, and accessories.

Collaborate with merchandising, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Forecast category growth and demand, and plan inventory needs accordingly.

  • Vendor & Supplier Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors to secure the best product offerings, pricing, and terms.

Negotiate pricing, promotional activities with key suppliers to maximize profitability.

Manage supplier performance by reviewing key metrics such as sales, stock levels, and product quality.

  • Product Assortment & Pricing:

Curate and manage a diverse product range of mobile phones, gadgets, and accessories that appeal to target customer segments.

Ensure competitive and strategic pricing for all products while maintaining profitability.

Regularly review and refresh product offerings based on sales performance, customer feedback, and market dynamics.

  • Sales & Performance Analysis:

Analyze sales data, identify trends, and report on category performance.

Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for product categories (e.g., sales growth, margin, market share).

Propose action plans based on performance analysis to drive sales and achieve targets.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration:

Skills & Qualifications:

We are looking for a focused, smart, and industrious Accountant to join our growing team. As an Accountant, you will provide vital support to the Finance Team to help streamline the company's financial processes.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Posting and processing journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
  • Manage all accounting transactions and ensure compliance with organizational guidelines and procedures.
  • Resolve account payable and receivable issues or queries on call/emails effectively.
  • Accurately perform daily reconciliations of cash, check and credit card transactions, and tally and file invoices
  • Basic knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping
  • Have knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements.
  • Oversee bank reconciliations and balance financial records.
  • Keep updated budgets; able to handle monthly payroll disbursements and invoices and confirm expense vouchers and purchase orders.
  • Identify and resolve financial discrepancies.
  • Complete end of month closing procedures.
  • Utilize database management systems to maintain up-to-date record keeping of financial documents.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in accounting
  • Proven 4-5 years of work experience as an Accountant, or any similar role.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP’s and pivot tables.
  • Familiarity with accounting software.
  • Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality about company accounts.

OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME

The objectives of the Programme on Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders (MNS) in EMRO are to guide Member States in the development, adaptation and implementation of evidence-informed policies, plans, legislations and interventions aimed at the promotion of mental health and prevention of mental, neurological and substance use disorders, delivery of services based on best practices and standards of care and promoting recovery, and observance of human rights in an inter and multi-sectoral milieu.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

The incumbent will be responsible for the following duties: Assess the current regional situation of substance use and substance use disorders and develop a strategic approach to assist Member States in prevention and treatment for substance use disorders in line with the regional framework to strengthen public health action on the problem of substance use. Enhance the capacities of Member States to develop and implement-evidence informed policies and legislations and strengthen the health systems response to public health problems related to substance use. Provide technical support and advice to Member States in developing national strategies and action plans on reducing health consequences of substance use, scaling up evidence-based interventions for the prevention of substance use disorders, and provision of quality services to people with substance use disorders across the continuum of care. Plan, develop, implement and monitor building capacity activities at country and regional levels to respond to public health problems attributable to substance use and substance use disorders. Support Member States in the development of surveillance and monitoring systems for substance use. Provide technical support and advice to civil society organizations and other entities, as appropriate, on the issues related to reduction of the public health problems associated with substance use. Foster collaboration and partnerships with other EMRO programmes and initiatives in the area of substance use and public health. Prepare and revise technical documents, briefing notes, meeting reports, information products and content of EMRO website related to work under the incumbent's responsibility, as appropriate.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Essential: An advanced university degree (Master's Degree), or an equivalent, in Clinical Psychology or Psychiatry from a recognized institution.
Desirable: Doctorate, certification or specialized training in the prevention and treatment of substance use disorder/addiction medicine.

Experience

Essential: At least 7 years of relevant experience with international exposure in the development and implementation of policies, strategies and action plans in the area of prevention and treatment of substance abuse
Desirable: Working experience in developing countries as well as UN bodies and NGOs working in the field of substance use.

Skills

Expert knowledge of: International policy frameworks for reduction of public health problems related to substance use. Psychosocial and epidemiological aspects of alcohol and substance use and relevant policy responses. Demonstrated ability to: Provide expert advice and technical assistance to countries on the development and implementation of policies and programmes in the prevention and treatment of substance use disorders. Plan and conduct capacity building activities in the area of alcohol and substance use. WHO salaries for staff in the Professional category are calculated in US dollars. Located in the heart of Dubai, but operating in a fully remote model, our client is a dynamic enterprise specialized in Software Development and Infrastructure Management.

We are on the hunt for an enthusiastic DevOps Engineer to join our client's innovative team.

Please note, the working hours for this opportunity are between 8 PM and 5 AM GMT+4

What your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing maintenance and development of the current infrastructure and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes
  • Solving deployment challenges for applications in both test and production environments
  • Implementing robust monitoring and logging systems
  • Participating in the analysis and resolution of incidents
  • Collaborating closely with the product team to ensure seamless operations
Qualifications:
  • Practical experience with tools and platforms such as Git, GitLab, GitLab-CI, Docker, Docker-Compose, AWS SDK (including ec2, route54, IAM, CloudWatch, RDS), Kubernetes, Ansible, Helm, Terraform, and FluxCD/ArgoCD/Fleet
  • Knowledge in Service Mesh solutions like Consul or Istio
  • Knowledgeable in monitoring tools such as Grafana and Zabbix
  • Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, TSDB)
  • Strong understanding of Linux OS and network stack, alongside practical troubleshooting skills
  • Proficient in shell scripting or Python
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Golang
  • Additional expertise in Service Mesh solutions

Job Opportunity: Site Supervisor / Foreman / Site Engineer (Finishes Specialist)

Requirements:

1- Experience: At least 1 year of UAE experience in a similar role, specifically in finishes work.

2- Leadership Abilities: Skilled in independently managing labor teams and maintaining workflow.

3- Technical Skills: Proficiency in construction finishes (tiling, plastering, painting, etc.) and ability to accurately perform calculations.

Key Responsibilities:

1- Team Supervision: Lead and manage labor teams on-site, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to quality standards.

2- Finishes Management: Oversee finishing tasks, guaranteeing high craftsmanship and attention to detail.

3- Calculations & Planning: Perform accurate calculations for materials and measurements as needed.
