Description:

The Division of Engineering at New York University Abu Dhabi, is seeking a motivated research scientist to work under the supervision of Prof. Marwa Chafii on the physical layer design of Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC) for 6G systems.

Applicants must hold a PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field, and have a minimum of than 5 years of postdoctoral experience. The position requires strong expertise in communication theory, signal processing, and optimization theory. A proven track record of publications in relevant IEEE journals and conferences is required. Excellent communication skills in English, ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams, scientific creativity and innovative thinking are essential.

The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment comprising PhD-level scientists, graduate students and undergraduate students.

    Our Client a crypto currency exchange based in Dubai, UAE, is looking to hire a Compliance Manager to enhance their dynamic team. You will be responsible for ensuring that the organisation complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and internationally. You will work closely with various departments to establish and maintain compliance programs, policies, and procedures to mitigate legal and regulatory risks.

    Your responsibilities will include staying updated on UAE laws, regulations, and international standards applicable to the industry, and ensure the organisations activities align with these requirements; Develop, implement, and enforce compliance policies and procedures tailored to the specific needs and challenges of the crypto industry; Provide training and awareness programs to employees to ensure a strong understanding of compliance policies and the importance of adherence ; Conduct regular risk assessments to identify compliance gaps, potential risks, and vulnerabilities within the organisation, and develop strategies to address them ; Establish monitoring mechanisms to track compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Prepare and submit regular compliance reports to senior management and regulatory authorities as required ; Manage and conduct internal investigations into compliance violations or suspicions of non-compliance and take appropriate corrective actions ; Liaise with regulatory bodies and authorities in Dubai and the UAE, maintaining positive relationships and ensuring all necessary permits and licenses are obtained and maintained; Coordinate and manage compliance audits, both internal and external, and ensure that audit findings are addressed promptly ; Ensure that the organisation complies with data privacy regulations and protects sensitive information in accordance with UAE and international data protection laws to name a few.

    You have a Bachelors degree in Finance, Law, Business, or a related field, an In-depth knowledge of Dubai and UAE laws and regulations relevant to the industry. A minimum of 4 years of extensive experience in compliance management within the crypto industry or fintech industry and a strong understanding of cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, and associated regulatory requirements. You are proficient in AML/KYC procedures and experience implementing them in a crypto context. Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills and excellent written and spoken skills in both English and Arabic.
