• Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the Foreign Military Sales Division, United States Liaison Office (USLO).
• Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
• Represents USLO, UAE with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.

• This position is Emergency-Essential (EE). The incumbent must meet all requirements of EE positions and may be required as a condition of employment to take a series of vaccinations and annual boosters to immunize against anthrax and other diseases
• In the event of a crisis situation, the incumbent, or designated alternate, must continue to perform the EE duties until relieved by proper authority. The incumbent or designated alternate, may be required to take part in readiness exercises
• This position cannot be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the organization to function effectively.
• DISAM Training is required for this position. Individual can receive training once selected to this position, although it is highly desired to already have that requirement completed
• This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-13, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes: (1) Knowledge of Security Cooperation Operations and Foreign Military Sales programs and activities; (2) Knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures related to developing, planning, budgeting, and coordinating activities, programs, facility programming, contracting, and customer interests and needs; and (3) Knowledge of formulating program goals, plans and policies, and work plans dealing with the development and operation of organization-wide Security Assistance and Training functions and activities.

FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-13 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

Knowledge of Security Cooperation Operations and Foreign Military Sales programs and activities.

Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.

Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors.

Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.

Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Ability to negotiate complex issues with high-ranking U.S. and UAE military officers and high-ranking civilians while maintaining effective working relationships.

Knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures related to developing, planning, budgeting, and coordinating activities, programs, facility programming, contracting, and customer interests and needs.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

The post holder will be an externally-recognised teacher of excellence, responsible for the innovative development and management of teaching and learning activities which allow for individualised learning and cater for students from diverse and international backgrounds, and for influencing the pedagogy of the subject. In addition, all Associate Professors will take on subject leadership responsibilities, including acting as a line manager within the relevant subject area, to include all aspects of line management, such as performance management, workload/resource management, objective setting and appraisals and/or undertake a strategic cross faculty or university responsibility that requires the delivery of a particular portfolio of activity across the relevant area. Daily Responsibilities:

1. Bank Account Reconciliation and Cash Book Maintenance:

· Reconcile numerous bank accounts daily.

· Maintain cash books and ledgers for all subsidiary bank accounts in UAE, Thailand, and Canada.

2. Equity Investment Reporting:

· Report daily stock transactions from equity investments in listed entities on the Toronto Stock Exchange, Canada.

3. Database Management:

· Perform daily database backups for all financial documents and information.

4. Accounting Entries:

· Enter day-to-day transactions into QuickBooks Online for all subsidiaries in accordance with accounting policies.

5. Real Estate Property Management (UAE):

· Manage real estate properties owned by investors in the UAE, including accounting, administration, and property maintenance.

· Receive, store, and process outstanding invoices related to real estate properties.
