As a part of our expansion, we are currently looking to scale our Design Department and is looking for a Technical Manager.

Designation: Technical Manager

Reporting to: Head of Design

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in design reviews, assess 3D renders and evaluate the technical feasibility of proposed designs. Be able to analyze each design from both a 2D and construction standpoint, considering factors such as materials, structural integrity, and manufacturing processes.
  • Develop a standard fit out detail library (i.e. doors, ceilings, and wardrobes) creating a comprehensive repository of standardized drawings and specifications for these elements, ensuring consistency and efficiency in design processes.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the team adheres to all standard details and best practices in their work. Implement a robust quality assurance process to verify compliance with established standards and guidelines.
  • Develop and implement a structured review process to ensure that MEP concepts are aligned with the architectural and structural elements.
  • Actively participate in the selection of materials and specifications, ensuring that each selection aligns with the project's practical requirements, provides value for the client, and preserves the aesthetic integrity of the design.
  • In the event that the project is upgraded to execution supervision level, the Technical Manager needs to address any Requests for Information (RFIs) that arise onsite. He is responsible for providing a solution; confirming that any resolution maintains the integrity of the original design.
  • Preparation of detailed drawings of the projects as per the confirmed 3D designs. All the ID packages should have clear material specification, dimensions and complete details.
  • Coordinate with the Design Lead for the material specification and ensure to be implemented in all the drawings.
  • Responsible for reviewing the team member’s drawings and handover to the Head of Design for final review/ stamping and making the corrections before submitting it to client/ contractors.
  • Responsible for overseeing the placement of final drawings in the server for client delivery in standard format ensuring high quality input.
  • Responsible for maintaining the complete and final set of drawings for each and every project to enhance smooth flow of execution.
  • Assist Estimation Team in BOQ with material specification/ dimensions when necessary.
  • Responsible for reviewing the performance on a weekly basis and training all direct reporting staff and initiating necessary actions along with the HR department.
  • Suggest methods of improvement to enhance the CAD output quality to standardize the professional Auto CAD template which meets EVA’s design standards and presentation.

Candidate Profile

  • A bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Technical Design is required
  • Higher qualifications or certifications in project management would be advantageous
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a Technical design role within the industry in similar high-end agencies.
  • Proficient in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite and Autodesk tools.
  • Continuous education in new design trends, technologies and methodologies to maintain competitiveness in the industry.
  • Must be able to work full time in the headquarters based in Fujairah.
  • Salary Range: AED 13,000 - 15,000

    Summary

    Responsible for the coordination between the company and government organizations/authorities. Ensure that the company complies with all the rules and regulations of the Local Government. Process requirements efficiently and effectively such as LMRA, SIO, Municipality, MOIC, MOH, MOI, EWA, MOJ, MFA, CID, Embassies and all government related work.

    Responsibilities

    • Process new, renew, amend and submit all requirements for certificate of registration/business license.
    • Provide regular updates to management on the status of CR applications.
    • Coordinate with the operations manager and other departments for the documents required for CR application.
    • Ensure that business licenses are clear of any offenses.
    • Ensure that all business licenses and health certificates are valid and updated.
    • Scan documents and apply for new work permits, cancellation and renewal of all expatriate employees working in the company and their dependents.
    • Ensure the availability of work permits and responsible to process ceiling application.
    • Process attestation of documents in MFA and Embassies for job order, repatriation and other employment formalities.
    • Promptly sort LMRA related issues such as runaway, corrections, data errors, offenses etc.
    • Prepare the summary of LMRA and SIO monthly fee and coordinate with HR for payment.
    • Obtain new residence permit and renewal of all expatriate employees including dependents.
    • Liaise with Ministry of Labour and Tamkeen to assist the HR in resolving labour issues.
    • Liaise with Immigration and Embassies to speed up the process of visa applications and other related matters.
    • Advise the management on new rules or changes on all visa formalities and other government related procedures whenever necessary.
