OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME

The programme envisions a region where all health-related policies, decisions on healthcare development and implementation, and innovations are informed by best available evidence from verifiable knowledge, research and reliable information. The programme’s mission is to strengthen the capacity of Member States to improve availability, quality and use of evidence from reliable information, research and other sources of knowledge, and to enhance effective innovations toward Universal Health Coverage and health related Sustainable Development Goals.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

The incumbent will perform the following duties:

  • Lead and supervise activities of Research Promotion and Research Governance (RPG) team.
  • Support and coordinate training and research development at the regional and country levels, including scientific writing, as well as coordination of Calls for Research Proposals for different areas of work in EMRO (Research in Priority Areas in Public Health), Tropical Disease Research and during health emergencies.
  • Promote and strengthen national capacities and institutions for governance, management and support of research and development (R&D) for health.
  • Build skills in design and conduct of research and generation of research evidence, priority setting for research, and standards and good research conduct which lead to ethical, accessible and timely dissemination of research findings.
  • Support, strengthen national health research institutions and bodies, including national ethics / bioethics committees, and enhance their capacity in promoting and monitoring the ethical conduct of health and medical practice and research.
  • Manage the team of the Eastern Mediterranean Health Journal, the flagship health periodical of the Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean, under the supervision of its Executive Editor.
  • Plan and develop reports on the status of health research and governance in EMR countries, their priorities and monitor progress over time.
  • Coordinate the work of WHO Collaborating Centers in the Region through overseeing (re)designation processes, in line with WHO policies and priorities.
  • Contribute to and foster inter-agency collaboration with UN partners and academic and research institutions, via existing or future platforms as well as the work with UNESCO on bioethics and supporting national ethics / bioethics committees.
  • Provide technical and managerial advice as member or secretariat of related global or regional platforms or committees as assigned by the WHO.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Essential

University degree in medicine or pharmacy and Master’s degree in epidemiology, public health, health policy, health economics, pharmaco-economics or biostatistics

Desirable

PhD in epidemiology, public health, health policy, health economics, pharmaco-economics or biostatistics


Experience

Essential

At least 10 years of relevant experience at the national and international levels in conducting and managing health research, of which at least 3 years should be at international level. This should include at least five years of senior managerial experience with adequate exposure/engagement with the international research community. At least 15 academic publications in the last five years.

Desirable

Previous experience with UN. Academic designation at the level of associate or full professor positions. Previous chairing or management of national/international research institutions or committees. Previous editor responsibility in an international peer-reviewed journal. Proven experience of supervising conduct of research projects (e.g. masters or PhD level students).

REMUNERATION

WHO salaries for staff in the Professional category are calculated in US dollars. The remuneration for the above position comprises an annual base salary starting at USD 92,731 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable), a variable post adjustment, which reflects the cost of living in a particular duty station, and currently amounts to USD 1793 per month for the duty station indicated above. Other benefits include 30 days of annual leave, allowances for dependent family members, home leave, and an education grant for dependent children.

  • Register / reserve / waitlist students in appropriate classes, entering details accurately on TCMS, in a professional and friendly manner
  • Distribute, collect and collate satisfaction surveys for all regular public courses into the agreed documentary scorecard management system to agreed timings and standards
  • Collect and report money collected from customers for placement tests / courses / books / examination registrations and other products / services daily according to FCCF and audit requirements, through cash desks and by issuing receipts for all income received; reconciliation and, accepting refund requests. Cash desks must be balanced and closed accurately with actual received income
  • Record all corporate clients, sponsored students and all Regular Public Course students on TCMS

Sales Development Representative

Job Description: Join our talent pool

We are creating a talent pool to hire highly-motivated Sales Development Representatives. You are a self-starter who will be able to qualify, validate, and develop new business prospects from multiple sources including inbound marketing leads, conference and prospect lists, discovery, and individual research. You are a strong communicator who is persistent, effective at building relationships , and can work well without supervision. You will report to the Executive Director of Sales & Business Development.

You Will:

  • Become familiar with OPIS product portfolio
  • Be the first point of contact for new business prospects and determine the next steps for each prospect
  • Qualify all inbound leads for the sales team
  • Create outreach strategies for new lead generation
  • Support and collaborate with sales colleagues on outbound strategies and lead generating efforts
  • Establish active communication and engagement with prospects to create new leads
  • Assist sales colleagues by responding to client support requests
  • Provide internal and external clients with assistance to help build and cultivate prospect relationships in order to move opportunities through the sales funnel
  • Work in partnership with the marketing function to drive leads and online traffic with web-based activities and programs

You Have:

  • At least 1 to 3 years’ experience in sales development and lead qualification
  • Knowledge and genuine interest in the fuel (preferred), energy, chemical, and renewables industries
  • Demonstrated success in uncovering business potential through pre-sales preparation work
  • Used LinkedIn Sales Navigator (preferred) or a similar prospecting application
  • Proficiency in CRM solutions (NetSuite and Salesforce preferred)
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office applications
  • Conducted effective presentations to clients of all levels and decision-making capacities
  • Written clear and concise sales reports
  • Ability to travel to conferences, exhibitions, trainings, and team meetings on a limited basis
  • University degree

We are seeking an experienced Swimming Pool Foreman to oversee the construction and maintenance of swimming pools. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both civil and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) works. This position requires a hands-on leader who can manage projects from start to finish while ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee all aspects of swimming pool construction, including planning, scheduling, and execution, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Site Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the work of construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize expertise in civil and MEP disciplines to address complex construction challenges and implement effective solutions.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure that all work meets the required standards and specifications.

  • Skills: Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and safety practices; proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead teams and collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Licenses: Valid UAE driving license is preferred.

Role Description

As a Real Estate Photographer, you will be responsible for capturing stunning images of residential and commercial properties across UAE. Your work will be essential in portraying these properties in the best possible light, helping our clients attract potential buyers and tenants.

Job Responsibilities:

· Photography/Videography of interior and exterior shots of real estate properties, ensuring the use of proper equipment, lighting, and composition techniques.

· Edit and retouch photographs & videographs to enhance their visual appeal and quality.

· Maintain and ensure the proper functioning of photography equipment, including cameras, lenses, and lighting.

· Communicate and collaborate with clients to understand their visual requirements and preferences, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

· Identify optimal shooting locations, angles, and lighting conditions to capture the essence of each property.

· Provide clients with the final, edited photographs and videos within agreed-upon timelines.

· Ensure the consistency and quality of all visual content produced, meeting or exceeding industry standards.

Requirements:

· Proven experience as a Real Estate Photographer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.

· In-depth knowledge of photography techniques, equipment, and editing software.

· Familiarity with architectural and real estate photography principles.

· Exceptional attention to detail and an artistic eye for composition and aesthetics.

· Excellent communication and client interaction skills.

· Knowledge of Dubai's real estate market and an understanding of property aesthetics.
