    Our VIP client based in Kuwait is looking for a highly experienced House Manager to coordinate the final stages of a new build property in terms of fixtures, fittings operational management, staffing and the ongoing management thereafter. The principal is passionate about wellbeing, very approachable and will be your primary point of contact throughout.

    Duties:

    As the House Manager you will be the key individual responsible for the day to day running of the new 2000 sq meter property, liaising with a Personal Assistant and the principal directly. The aim is to have a candidate join 6 months before the official completion date to give the successful candidate ample time to set up the following:

    • Policies, operating procedures and house manuals
    • Implementing preventative maintenance schedules
    • Establishing relationships with suppliers and service providers
    • Recruiting and training a team of staff (approximately 15+)
    • Working with the PA to create an efficient method of communication to ensure the home is always ready for the principal’s arrival
    • Planning and executing events taking place at the property
    • Ongoing management of the property in line with the client’s requirements ensuring standards are maintained

    Candidate requirements

    • The ideal candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate previous experience taking a lead role in setting up of large, high value properties from scratch for private clients
    • You will have strong experience managing large teams of staff ideally within a private household

    You will carry out inspections, repairs and overhauling to engines/equipment in both mechanical and electrical sides at the field and /or at the workshop. You will also troubleshoot engine and equipment malfunctions in the field, carry out repairs to engines and equipment including trips to customers sites.

    Principal accountabilities:

    • Troubleshoot and repair failures to electrical systems in the safest, quickest possible manner.
    • Help other technicians/engineers in the department to perform the required jobs.
    • Good and careful utilization of testing and special tools / equipment.
    • Write descriptive Service Reports for each job carried out on a daily basis.
    • Carry out installation of equipment at site according to designs supplied by others.
