Requirements:

  • Self-motivated with a strong ability to work independently and remotely.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Revenue Accountant (Law Firm)

Our client, an international law firm, is currently looking for a Revenue Accountant to join their finance team, based in their Dubai office.   In this role, you will play a crucial role in managing our firm's revenue accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. Other responsibilities will be to:

  • Manage and oversee the revenue recognition process in accordance with IFRS and firm policies.
  • Prepare and review invoices for legal services provided, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  • Monitor and reconcile accounts receivable, following up on outstanding invoices and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Conduct regular financial analysis to track revenue performance and identify trends or areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with legal teams to understand client billing arrangements and ensure proper revenue recognition.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard the firm's financial integrity.
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in revenue accounting.


Requirements

To be considered for this role, you need to meet the following criteria:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in revenue accounting, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and revenue recognition principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
