Computer Vision Software Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Developing and evaluating state-of-the-art computer vision algorithms for understanding human body languages as well as objects and other scenery cues from camera input.
  • Implementing, and optimizing hardware accelerated machine learning algorithms in ARM processor as well as special purpose computing architectures, such as DSP, GPU.

Qualifications

  • Strong programming experience with Python, Java, and MATLAB
  • Strong experience with OpenCV or background in computer vision, image processing algorithms, machine learning, neural networks.
  • Analysis and optimization of algorithms.
  • Knowledge of Object detection, semantic segmentation, face recognition and feature extraction algorithms
  • Experience with Deep Learning concept, and tools
  • Working knowledge of GPU programming & optimization
  • Knowledge of video coding standards such as MPEG4, H264, and H265.
  • Previous working experience in software product development
  • Experience working with ffmpeg, VLC or other video and imaging tools.
  • Familiarity with integration, testing, and software product life cycle is important. Previous working experience in computer vision algorithm development is highly recommended.

  • Broad Computer Vision knowledge such as reconstruction, feature detection, motion detection, object detection, segmentation, tracking and classification.

  • Knowledge of real-time video analytics pipeline.

We are seeking a highly motivated Process Safety Engineer to join our team and support our O&G client in Dubai or Abu Dhabi. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safety and fire protection of our client's projects.

Responsibilities:

Design safety and firefighting systems for Oil & Gas projects

Prepare HSE and firefighting philosophy & design basis

Conduct safety studies (QRA, FEA, EERA, etc.)

Perform fire radiation analysis

Design fire-fighting systems

Develop PFDs and P&IDs for firefighting systems

Conduct hydraulic calculations and firewater demand calculations

Prepare specifications & data sheets

Manage Material Requisitions (MRs)

Evaluate vendor documents and firefighting facilities

Design safety and fire fighting equipment layouts

Qualifications:

University degree (Bachelor of Science) in Chemical Engineering, Oil & Gas Engineering, Safety Engineering, or Fire Engineering

Minimum 8 years of overall experience, with at least 8 years in Oil & Gas (Upstream)

Proficiency in Phast and PIPENET software is a plus

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills

Experience facilitating hazard workshops (HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, Bow-Ties, etc.)

Knowledge of Sour Gas design and operation standards & guidelines

Responsibilities

Train housekeepers on cleaning and maintenance tasks

Oversee staff on a daily basis

Check rooms and common areas, including stairways and lounge areas, for cleanliness

Schedule shifts and arrange for replacements in cases of absence

Establish and educate staff on cleanliness, tidiness and hygiene standards

Motivate team members and resolve any issues that occur on the job

Respond to customer complaints and special requests

Monitor and replenish cleaning products stock including floor cleaner, bleach and rubber gloves

Participate in large cleaning projects as required
