Key Duties and Responsibilities:

· Knowledge of Pre and post contract administration for different contract types (lumpsum and re-measureable), FIDIC

Pre-Contract

· Preparation/Review of the Quantity Take-Offs and Bills of Quantities of all Civil related items.

· Technical know-how on PS and PC items review and finalization.

· Studying tender analysis (Technical and Commercial) prior to tender submission.

· Initiate, draft and prepare contractual documents for tender submission.

· Estimates cost and understanding contractual terms & conditions, process, scope of works, compensation schedule and contact administration requirements.

Post-Contract

· Verification, preparation and submission of Project’s Monthly Interim Payment Applications and issuing of Payment Certificates to Subcontractors

· Review, negotiate and prepare variation and claims in coordination with Project Team, Contractor and Consultant.

· Monitor and update material on site claims of Subcontract / Suppliers and project’s deliverables.

· Maintains budgets, estimates, cash flow forecast and cost reports.

· Perform other duties associated with the position as deemed appropriate.

Job Qualifications and Skill Sets:

· Bachelor’s degree or higher in Quantity Surveying / Civil Engineering

· Minimum two years in a professional engineering firm in the UAE

· Experience in Cost management, Contract administration and tendering.

· Strong problem-solving and communication skills, attention to detail and proficiency in cost-estimating software tools (PlanSwift, AutoCAD and MS Office).

Soft skills including:

· Negotiation

· Supervisory

· Verbal and written communication

· Knowledge of relevant legislation and contractual arrangements

· Ability to adhere to budgets, submit necessary budget amendments, and adhere to timelines
