How you will make an impact:

Role summary

This position is responsible for safety, health & environment programs at Flowserve Gulf FZE Seal QRC in Dubai. The Safety officer will ensure compliance with all established SHEA programs and maintain compliance with JAFZA Compliance and Flowserve standards.

Your role

  • Manage HSE activities through strong communication, motivation and direction of safety compliance.
  • Conduct a rigorous incident investigation process focused on prevention and root cause analysis.

Registered Nurse is a professional who has a caring, empathetic and perceptive personality. They are responsible for patient analysis in terms of mental health disorders, assessment of therapeutic needs, and utilization of methods that can help senior citizens adapt to society or enhance their professional development and social/personal well-being.

They report to the Nursing Supervisor for any changes in the patient's physical condition, behavior or appearance.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient physical functions case and psychosocial needs, determine patient problems, symptoms and behavioral changes and develop an action plan that integrates the medical plan of care, nursing diagnosis, realistic goals and established discharge criteria to provide to the Healthcare Assistant in case of need.
  • Take into account that visits are carried out according to the request received.
  • Initiates preventative and rehabilitative nursing procedures as appropriate for the patient’s care and safety, without infringing on the patient’s rights according to Department of Health scope and standards of nursing practice of homecare nurses including but not limited to:

- Assessment of patient's condition, vital signs assessment

- Administration of medication and instruction of medication but not limited to ( Injection, Inhalation, Oral, Infusion, Rectal, and Enterals)

- Assessment for oxygen therapy requirements

- Tube feeding Management

- Nasopharyngeal and tracheostomy management

- Nasogastric tube care and maintenance

- Continence assessment and management

- Indwelling Catheter care and maintenance

- Catheter insertion

- Pain management via No pharmacological strategies

- Wound care

- Ostomy care and maintenance

- Prenatal, Postnatal and newborn assessment

- Venipuncture

- Point of Care Testing, including but not limited to: Blood Glucose Level; CBC, Electrolyte

  • Assess patient and family about disease process in accordance with their degree of acceptance.
  • Educate the patient and family about disease processing in accordance with their degree of acceptance.
  • Educate and supervise the patient and family members regarding the nursing care needs and other related problems.
  • Knowledgeable in tracking vital signs (pulse, breathing, temperature, pressure).

Education, Experience and License:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent
  • DOH License Holder
  • Basic Life Support Certificate
  • At least 2 years of experience

Project Consultant – Climate

As a Project Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Climate Programme and UAE Alliance for Climate Action (UACA) within the Conservation unit. This role involves assisting in the implementation of key initiatives, supporting monitoring and evaluation activities, and facilitating internal and external communications and reporting. The Project Consultant will contribute to research and data gathering for the UACA project and assist in drafting concept notes, work plans, and proposals for wider climate and nature focused initiatives.

Major Duties and Key Responsibilities

Climate Programme (100%): Support the climate programme in existing projects and new potential projects with a specific focus on:

UAE Alliance for Climate Action (70%):

  • Case Study Development: Lead the design and execution of comprehensive case studies showcasing members' innovative decarbonization practices and success stories. Work closely with member organizations to gather data, conduct interviews, and compile impactful narratives that demonstrate the feasibility and benefits of sustainable practices.
  • Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence on potential member prospects, assessing their commitment to climate action and other areas, alignment with organizational values, and potential contribution to the project’s goals. Utilize research and analysis to evaluate prospective members' track records, capabilities, and credibility in advancing sustainability efforts.
  • Data Validation Development and Oversight: Spearhead the development and implementation of robust data validation processes and protocols for the project’s flagship digital product. Collaborate with technical teams to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and consistency. Provide guidance and oversight to maintain high standards of data integrity and credibility.
  • Project Oversight: Support the project manager in maintaining databases and workflows to ensure the project meets its objectives. Provide support in project management tasks, including maintaining databases and workflow systems to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Road 2.0: Support collating the inputs from suppliers and prepare documents to be shared with signatories on the knowledge repository. Update Road 2.0 decks with graphic designer and ensure appropriate materials are developed to communicate about the initiative.

  • Improve existing communication channels with members: Manage Whatsapp group for members with channels and suggested ways of communication based on needs of projects and devise plan on how it will be rolled out. Improve & share relevant information on domestic policies and updates with members and climate team.
  • General coordination, reporting and communication: support project in general coordination with stakeholders, reporting to donors, developing presentations and slides for potential donors and support marketing and communication administrative needs.

Other Climate Projects (30%):

  • Project Scoping: Support Head of Climate in advancing on new potential projects linked to climate and nature by developing concept notes, presentations, and align with internal and external stakeholders. Develop project budgets projections, and other actions required.
  • Proposal Writing for New Projects: Support the development of project proposals outlining objectives, activities, expected outcomes, and budget estimates. Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to gather input, feedback, and support for proposal.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in the environmental, conservation, or climate field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, conservation, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree preferable in related field.
  • Familiarity with project management, proposal writing, due diligence, climate action, and environmental sustainability concepts.
