Transmission Support Engineer

Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategically manage and guide the transmission support operations for the Brigade and Battalion Headquarters, ensuring compliance with DoD and Army engineering policies.
  • Maintain an active role in documenting transmission requests and approvals, and prepare necessary technical documentation for satellite and fiber optic systems.
  • Assist the Communications and Electronics Officer (CEO) in ensuring 100% functionality and reliability of transmission equipment, ensuring all authorized equipment is operational according to specifications.
  • Manage excess transmission equipment and redistribute it throughout the Brigade, and monitor unit transmission personnel actions.
  • Collect and maintain detailed records of the 160th Signal Brigade transmission systems using GCSS-Army and other relevant tools.
  • Track transmission equipment shipments and take action to expedite delivery when required by the Government.
  • Prepare detailed engineering plans and load configurations, and manage the deployment of government transmission equipment and systems via various approved methods.
  • Support the collection of reports on all transmission equipment within the 160th Signal Brigade and coordinate with subordinate units to ensure proper functionality and maintenance.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Security Clearance: Must possess an active SECRET clearance.
  • Citizenship: Must be a US citizen.
  • Certifications: Information Assurance Management (IAM) level II certification as per DoD 8570 requirements.
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree with 5-7 years of relevant experience; Master's Degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience; PhD with 0-2 years of relevant experience.

Information Systems Security Officer

Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategically manage and guide the cybersecurity operations for the Brigade and Battalion Headquarters, ensuring compliance with DoD and Army cybersecurity policies.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of system functions, technical cybersecurity safeguards, and operational cybersecurity measures.
  • Implement and oversee the Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes, ensuring compliance with DoDI 8510.01.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability analyses, providing detailed reports and recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Act as the key liaison between all project stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and prompt resolution of cybersecurity-related issues.
  • Uphold strict compliance with DoD and Army cybersecurity directives, embedding industry-best practices, adhering to established policies, and fulfilling all reporting obligations.
  • Review and compile vulnerability or configuration status reports, provide cybersecurity status briefs, and support the Information System Security Manager (ISSM).
  • Ensure the proper application of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and maintain thorough documentation of all security processes and approvals

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Security Clearance: Must possess an active SECRET clearance.
  • Citizenship: Must be a US citizen.
  • Certifications: Information Assurance Management (IAM) level II certification as per DoD 8570 requirements.
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree with 5-7 years of relevant experience; Master's Degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience; PhD with 0-2 years of relevant experience.

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced Degrees and Certifications:
    • Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
    • Additional certifications relevant to IT security management, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
  • Specialized Experience:
    • Over ten years of cybersecurity management experience specifically in defense or military environments, demonstrating a deeper understanding of the unique challenges and requirements of these sectors.
    • Experience with Army cybersecurity tools and systems, such as RMF, DISA, and STIGs.
  • Leadership and Collaboration Skills:
    • Demonstrated leadership in multidisciplinary teams, highlighting successful team development, conflict resolution, and project delivery.
    • Experience in fostering collaboration between government entities, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive project execution and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Strategic and Analytical Abilities:
    • Proven track record of strategic planning, risk management, and contingency planning, demonstrating the ability to foresee potential challenges and proactively devise effective solutions.
    • Advanced analytical skills, with experience in leveraging data analytics, performance metrics, and project evaluation techniques to drive project improvement and innovation.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
    • Exceptional communication skills, with experience in presenting complex technical information to non-technical audiences, including senior military and government officials.

Overview

TekSynap seeks a distinguished Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to lead our team in providing unparalleled cybersecurity support for the 160th Signal Brigade. This crucial position involves managing the comprehensive security of information systems and network components within the Brigade and Battalion Headquarters, ensuring compliance with DoD and Army cybersecurity policies and regulations, and maintaining the highest standards of information assurance. As the ISSO, you will be responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, availability, identification, authentication, and non-repudiation of classified and unclassified information systems. You will play a vital role in maintaining the security posture of the Brigade's IT infrastructure, addressing daily security checks, and applying industry best practices to safeguard system integrity and performance. Your duties will encompass a broad spectrum of cybersecurity functions, including reviewing and compiling vulnerability or configuration status reports, providing cybersecurity status briefs, and recommending corrective actions. You will also be responsible for overseeing the implementation of Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes, ensuring compliance with DoDI 8510.01, and supporting the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) in maintaining RMF documentation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Work schedule: The core working hours are established by the 160th Signal Brigade as 0900 through 1500 local time, Monday through Friday. The contractor may allow employees to begin from 0600 through 0900. Full coverage is required from 0600 through 1600 for certain positions, including the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO). Extended hours or weekend work may be necessary depending on mission requirements.
  • Amount of Travel: Travel may be required up to 25% of the time for training and customer support, both CONUS and OCONUS. Travel requirements, including plans, agenda, itinerary, and dates, must be pre-approved by the Government. All travel will be in compliance with the Joint Travel Regulation (JTR). A valid U.S. unrestricted passport is required for OCONUS site support.

Neonatology Consultant - Qatar

Medacs Healthcare is currently looking for a Neonatology Consultant for a state-of-the-art healthcare facility based in Doha, Qarar. The hospital - opened in 2022 - offers quality medical care in a culturally reach setting for international patents.

The salary package is between QAR 75,000 - QAR 85,000 per month plus income sharing.

The employer offers the following benefits:

  • Onboarding flight, yearly flight and end of contract flight provided for the candidate.
  • Medical and malpractice insurance.
  • Cost of accommodation deducted from salary.
  • Contract Length: Indefinite (5 years, renewing automatically unless terminated by either party)
  • Annual Leave: 28 calendar days plus 10 public holidays
  • CME Allowance: 7 paid days plus a 10,000 QAR allowance

Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine (ICU) - Abu Dhabi

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine (ICU) to work with one of the largest healthcare groups in the UAE, Dubai.

The opportunity to work with a re-known hospital group in the UAE seeking a skilled ICU Consultant for their expanding service.

The hospital offers the following benefits:

Requirements;
  • Speciality qualification in Intensive Care Medicine - Tier one (1) country specified by the relevant UAE healthcare licensing authority (CCT, CCST, American Board, Australian Fellowship of Royal Colleges etc)
  • 2+ Years' Experience post speciality in a Hospital based in Western Europe, Central America, and Australasia
  • Experience and speciality interest in treating Glaucoma
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
