Basic Function of the Position
:


Job holder is the logistics liaison for the General Service Office - Housing unit. In this capacity, job holder tracks arrival and departures of personnel assigned to the Embassy in order to ensure that housing is ready and available for incoming officers as well as recommend adding or decommissioning the leases as appropriate.


In preparation of preparing residences for new arrivals, the job holder coordinates with the Housing Board, Facilities Management (FAC), Regional Security Office (RSO), and General Services Office- Property/Warehouse, as well as external contacts including the landlord, landlord maintenance team, and other vendors.


The job holder also conducts final departure inspections to ascertain if the departing occupant caused any damages above normal wear on tear on either USG property or landlord property and presents the report to the General Services Office.

Job Description:

As an Accountant at KEA Building Contracting, you will play a crucial role in managing financial operations related to building contracting projects and you must possess excellent time management and multitasking abilities. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, taxation, and regulatory compliance in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage project budgets, costs, and financial documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other departments to monitor and control project finances.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Handle day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible for the development of the baseline program.

Prepare and submit cost loaded schedule for the project.

Attend Client / Consultant progress meetings and compile monthly status reports including the detailed activities, actual start and completion dates, percent complete or remaining duration.

Capture the current status of the project including photos and compile the monthly progress report to the Planning Manager.
