Job Summary:

The Operations Executive in Freight Forwarding plays a critical role in managing and overseeing daily logistics and shipping operations. This position involves coordinating shipments, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of the logistics industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shipment Coordination: Oversee the end-to-end process of shipments, including planning, execution, and monitoring, to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
• Documentation Management: Prepare and verify all necessary shipping documents such as bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Carrier Liaison: Coordinate with carriers, shipping lines, and transport companies to arrange transportation and negotiate the best possible rates and terms.
• Customer Interaction: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing updates on shipment status, addressing inquiries, and resolving any issues that arise.
• Compliance & Regulations: Ensure all shipments comply with local and international laws, including customs regulations and industry standards.
• Inventory Management: Track and manage inventory levels, ensuring that all goods are accounted for and properly documented during transit.
• Problem Resolution: Identify and troubleshoot any issues that occur during the shipping process, such as delays, damages, or customs holds, and take appropriate action to resolve them.
• Data Entry & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all operations activities and prepare regular reports for management review.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including sales, finance, and warehouse teams, to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in any reputed University.
• Experience: Minimum of [1] years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related industry.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of freight forwarding operations and logistics processes.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency in freight management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Attention to detail, particularly in documentation and data entry.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional language proficiency.
• Familiarity with customs brokerage and international shipping regulations.
